Belgium prime minister and Brussels parliament websites hacked
The websites of Prime Minister Charles Michel and the Brussels regional parliament were hacked on Saturday by hacker collective Anonymous Belgium, which proudly claimed responsibility for hacking the prime minister's site via Twitter with a tweet in French.
"The Belgian government challenged us,” it read. “They should now take responsibility for their mistakes. We will always be here to defend the people."
The group also claimed responsibility for temporarily shutting down the website of the Brussels regional parliament.
Both the prime minister's and the Brussels parliament's websites are back online.
